Institute of Green Chemistry and Chemical Engineering is made up of 10 teachers, including Professor Liu Shiyong (Director), Professor Du Haiyan, Associate Professor Xiao Youjun, Professor Li Liqing, Associate Professor Liu Xiaoqiang (Associate director), Associate Professor Liu Jinbiao, Dr. Liu Kunming, Dr. Liao Fumin, Dr. Qiu Jiabin and Dr. Huang Bin. One of them was selected in Jiangxi  "Double Thousand Plan" (Professor Liu Shiyong) while two were selected in Jiangxi Outstanding Young Talent Program (Professor Li Liqing and Associate Professor Liu Jinbiao), and two were selected in the Qingjiang Top Talent Program of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology (Professor Liu Shiyong and Associate Professor Liu Jinbiao).

2. Research Directions

Green organic functional materials and their applications: the discoverer of conductive polymer was awarded the Nobel Prize in chemistry in 2000, which opened a new upsurge in the research of organic conjugated optoelectronic polymers (Conjugated organic electro optical polymer). Compared with traditional inorganic semiconductors, π-conjugated organic semiconductors have significant advantages such as flexibility and solution processability. The research distributes to the green synthesis of organic optoelectronic materials, new organic solar cell materials and their devices and organic semiconductor photocatalysis, and strives to realize the organic combination of green chemistry and green energy. Study on application of surface and interface chemistry: taking the efficient utilization of resources as the engineering background, studying the surface interface chemistry of mineral separation and metal ion enrichment; taking the clean production of electroplating enterprises as the engineering background, study the new electroplating technology, new additives and new methods of electroplating wastewater treatment; with chemical equipment as the engineering background, study the anti-corrosion mechanism, anti-corrosion technology and new corrosion inhibitors of various metal materials. Taking the environment-friendly as the engineering background, the environmental protection technology of the new three wastes treatment is studied, and the environmental protection coating materials and technologies with super-lubrication performance are studied under the engineering background of energy saving and emission reduction.

Study on Green Chemistry and Organic Synthesis: Green chemistry is also known as evironmentally benign chemistry and friendly chemistry, clean chemistry, that is, to reduce or eliminate the use of hazardous substances and the design of chemicals and processes. Green chemistry involves organic synthesis, catalysis, biochemistry, analytical chemistry and other disciplines. The filed mainly carries out the research on the new methodology of green organic synthesis based on environment-friendly chemistry, and applies the products with various structures to medicine, dyestuff and other industries.

Liu Shiyong,   Ph.D / Professor, Phd candidate supervisor, the first batch of candidates of   the "double Thousand Plan" youth project in Jiangxi Province, and   the top talents of Qingjiang in Jiangxi University of Science and Technology.   Mainly engaged in the green synthesis of π-conjugated   organic optoelectronic functional materials and their device applications.   Presided over 3 national projects (including surface projects) and 3   provincial and ministerial projects. Fully funded by CSC, he visited the   University of Washington in the United States for one year. He also is the   first or correspondent author at Advanced Science, J. Mater.

Chem.   A (5), Macromolecules, ACS AMI, Org.). Chem. Front., Polym. Chem. More than   40 SCI papers have been published in other journals, 3 of which have been   selected as Adv. Sci., J. Mater. Chem. An and Polym. Chem. On the cover of   the journal, 2 papers were selected by ESI highly cited papers, 2 papers were   reported by the famous journal Synfacts, and 1 paper was reported by   Materials Views. Li   Liqing, Ph.D., professor, He is selected outstanding young talents (young   scientists) in Jiangxi Province and scientific and technological innovation   talents in Ganzhou City, and was fully funded by the CSC to study in   Australia. The main research directions are green synthesis of separation and   metallurgical agents, applied electrochemistry, environmental engineering and   other fields. In recent years, it has published more than 40 high-level   academic papers (17 SCI/EI searches) in Chemical Engineering   Journal,Separation and Purification Technology and other journals, compiled 3   teaching materials, authorized 3 invention patents, won one provincial   scientific research achievement award and one teaching achievement award, and   presided over 16 projects at or above the provincial and ministerial level.

Liu   Jinbiao, Ph.D., Associate Professor, selected as the Outstanding Young Talent   Program of Jiangxi Province and the Qingjiang Top Talent Program of Jiangxi   University of Technology, Associate Research fellow of Hong Kong Baptist   University. The main research directions include organic synthesis and   fluorescent probes. In recent years, more than 40 SCI papers have been   published in Bioelectron., and other journals, and 3 National Natural Science   Foundation projects and 4 provincial and ministerial projects were approved.

Liu   Xiaoqiang, Ph.D., associate professor, his main research directions include   special surface protective materials and surface-interface chemistry. In   recent years, he has published more than 10 papers in Advanced Materials,   Applied Surface Science, Diamond and Related Materials and other journals,   applied for 4 invention patents, presided over one National Natural Science   Foundation, and many scientific research projects at provincial and ministerial   level and municipal level.

Liu   Kunming, Ph.D., lecturer. The main research directions include organic   synthesis and functional organic small molecules. In recent years, it has   been in Chem. Commun., Org. Biomol. Chem., Adv. Synth. Catal. More than 20   academic papers have been published in other journals (15 by SCI/EI).   Presided over and participated in 5 projects such as the National Natural   Science Foundation of China, the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangxi   Province, and the Science and Technology projects of Jiangxi Education Department.

Liao   Fumin, Ph.D., lecturer, Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, East China normal   University.

The   main research directions include green organic chemistry, metal organic   chemistry and efficient synthesis of small molecules with drug activity.

Have   been in Angew. before working. Chem. Int.

Ed.,   Sci. Bull., Org. Biomol. Chem. Five SCI papers have been published in   journals, and one provincial and ministerial project has been approved.

Huang   Bin, Ph.D., lecturer, his main research direction is optoelectronic   functional materials and their devices. The related research results are   based on the first author in Adv. Funct., Mater, J. Mater. Chem. A, ACS Appl.   Mater. Interfaces, Solar RRL, Mater. Chem. Five SCI papers have been   published in Front., and other international authoritative journals. Fully   funded by CSC, he went to Ulsan University of Science and Technology in South   Korea to jointly train Dr. (UNIST).
